A small team that does careful work
We’re bookkeepers and assistants who like things tidy, answer the phone and treat your business like our own.
Maren spent nine years at a Raleigh CPA firm, and every spring she watched the same thing happen: brilliant business owners showing up with a shoebox of receipts and a year of stress. The problem was never the taxes. It was the eleven months nobody looked at the books.
So in 2016 she started Well Kept with a simple idea: keep the books current every month, explain them in plain English, and take the rest of the admin off owners’ plates while we’re at it. The virtual assistance started because clients kept asking, “could you just also…”
Today we’re a team of four, all based in the US, working with about 80 small businesses in 23 states. We stay small on purpose: a few new clients each season, so everyone gets our full attention.
