Terms of Service
Last updated September 30, 2026
Last updated September 28, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are the agreement between you and Squareposh (“Squareposh,” “we,” “us”) for our website templates, website builder, website plans and hosting, wedding websites, domains, add-ons such as SEO, and your Squareposh account (together, the “Services”). Squareposh is a web design studio based in Casa Grande, Arizona, United States. By creating an account, buying anything from us or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Services. Questions? Email meg@squareposh.com.
Custom design and development projects are covered by the proposal or agreement for that project. Where that agreement and these Terms differ, the project agreement applies.
The short version
- All sales are final. We don’t give refunds or credits for any purchase: monthly and yearly plans, one-time purchases such as the wedding website, setup fees, add-ons and domains.
- Plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time in your account, and your site stays online until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- If a renewal payment fails, you have 48 hours to fix it before your site is paused.
- Your content is always yours. Your words, photos, logos and the information your visitors send you belong to you.
- Custom websites are yours to move. If we designed and built your website for you as a custom project, you own full rights to it and can move it to another host: we’ll send you the complete website files within 48 hours of your request (see section 13).
- Template websites stay with Squareposh. A website made from one of our templates is licensed for use on Squareposh only and must be hosted with us. Our templates, builder and staff dashboard stay ours.
- If you sell through your site, the sale is between you and your customer, and the money goes straight to your own Stripe account.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract. If you use the Services for a business, you agree to these Terms on behalf of that business and confirm you’re allowed to.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date, keep your password private, and tell us at meg@squareposh.com if you think someone has used your account without permission. You’re responsible for everything that happens in your account.
2. Plans, prices and payment
- Website plans are billed monthly or yearly. Some templates are priced differently: the wedding website is one payment for 12 months online at squareposh.com/wedding-your-names, and after that you can choose to keep it online with a monthly renewal. Add-ons (such as SEO, which has a setup fee and a monthly fee that starts when your site launches) and domains are billed as shown when you buy them.
- The price, how often you’re billed and what’s included are shown before you pay, on the template’s page and at checkout.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Prices don’t include taxes unless we say so. You’re responsible for any taxes that apply.
- We may change our prices. For a plan or add-on you already have, a new price starts at your next renewal after we’ve given you at least 30 days’ notice by email. If you don’t want to pay the new price, cancel before it takes effect.
3. Automatic renewal and cancelling
- Monthly and yearly plans, monthly add-ons, domain registrations and wedding website renewals renew automatically at the end of each billing period, and we charge the payment method on file, until you cancel.
- To cancel, sign in to your account, open Billing and follow the link to manage or cancel your plan, or email meg@squareposh.com. Cancelling stops future renewals. Your site and any add-ons stay active until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and then they end.
- A wedding website without a monthly renewal simply goes offline when its 12 months end, and nothing more is charged.
4. All sales are final
All payments to Squareposh are final and non-refundable. This includes monthly and yearly plan fees, one-time purchases such as the wedding website, setup fees, add-ons, and domain registrations and renewals. We don’t give refunds, credits or partial refunds for part of a billing period, unused time, switching to a smaller plan, cancelling before the end of a period, or a site you stop using or never publish. Cancelling only stops future charges. This doesn’t take away any rights you have under laws that can’t be waived.
If you think we’ve charged you by mistake, for example a duplicate charge, email meg@squareposh.com. We’ll look into it and correct any genuine billing error. Please talk to us before disputing a charge with your bank or card company. If you dispute a valid charge, we may pause your account and sites until it’s resolved.
5. Failed payments
If a renewal payment doesn’t go through, we’ll email you a link to pay. You then have 48 hours to pay or update your card. After that, your site is paused and visitors see a notice that it’s temporarily unavailable. As soon as the payment goes through, your site comes back online automatically.
6. Your content
- Everything you add to your site stays yours: your words, photos, logos, products and prices, and the information your visitors send you. You give us permission to host, copy, display and adapt your content only as needed to run the Services, for example to publish your site and show you previews.
- You’re responsible for your content and your site. You must have the right to use everything you upload, and the information on your site (such as your services, prices, business details and any policies your business needs) must be accurate and lawful.
- Our templates come with sample words and photos to show how the design works. Replace them with your own before your site goes live.
- Please keep your own copies of anything important. We’re not responsible for lost content.
7. Our templates, designs and builder
The tools we make for the Services belong to Squareposh: our website builder, the staff dashboard and other account tools, and our website templates.
Template websites. If your website is made from one of our templates, the template, its design and its code belong to Squareposh. While your plan is active, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that template for your website on our platform. Template websites must be hosted with Squareposh: you may not copy, export, move or host them anywhere else, or resell, share or redistribute our templates or builder. When your plan ends, this license ends too. Your content stays yours (see section 6), and you can take it with you.
Custom websites. If we designed and built your website for you as a custom project (for example, through our Custom sites service), you own full rights to your finished website: its pages, its design as made for you, your photos and your content. You may use it, change it and host it anywhere, including with another hosting company and after your plan ends. This doesn’t include our builder, staff dashboard or templates, which you may not resell or reuse to make other websites.
8. Selling and collecting information on your site
- If your site sells products or services, the sale is between you and your customer. Payments go straight to your own Stripe account, and we don’t take a share of your sales. You’re responsible for your products, prices, taxes, delivery, returns, refunds and customer service, and for following Stripe’s terms and the laws that apply to your business.
- Information your visitors send through your site, such as wedding RSVPs and guest lists, contact messages, bookings and orders, is kept in your account for you. You’re responsible for using it lawfully and for telling your visitors how you use it where the law requires. We handle it as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Domains
- When you buy a domain through us, it’s registered in your name through our registration partner, and the registrar’s rules and domain name policies also apply. Your domain renews every year at the renewal price shown when you bought it, until you cancel. A domain that isn’t renewed can expire and may become available to others. If you’d like to move your domain to another company, ask us; domain transfers aren’t allowed in the first 60 days after registration.
- If you connect a domain you already own, you’re responsible for your account and settings with that company. If you give us access to your domain settings, we’ll only use it to connect your site.
10. SEO and other add-ons
Our SEO work is designed to help your site show up in search results, but search engines decide rankings. We don’t guarantee any particular ranking, traffic, leads or sales.
11. Acceptable use
Don’t use the Services to publish or send anything illegal, infringing, fraudulent, deceptive, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or otherwise harmful; to send spam; to spread malware or phishing; to try to break into, overload or interfere with the Services or anyone else’s site; or to resell access to the Services. We may remove content, or pause or close a site that breaks these rules, without a refund.
12. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep sites online and secure, but we can’t promise the Services will always be available or free of errors. Maintenance, and outages at the companies we rely on (such as hosting, payment and domain providers), can affect your site. We may improve, change or stop parts of the Services. If we stop offering a paid plan you’re on, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice by email.
13. Ending the agreement and moving your website
You can stop using the Services and cancel at any time (see section 3). We may pause or close your account or sites, without a refund, if you break these Terms, don’t pay, use the Services fraudulently, or if the law requires us to. When your plan ends or your account is closed, your site goes offline. We may delete a site and its content after it has been offline for some time, and we don’t promise to keep it.
Moving a custom website to another host. If you have a custom website (see section 7), you’re always free to transfer it away from Squareposh. Ask from your staff dashboard (Settings → Transfer) or by email, and within 48 hours of your request we’ll send you a download link with your complete website files: every page, photo, style and file, plus your content in a file you can keep. We’ll also help point your domain to your new host, and your email isn’t affected.
Template websites can’t be moved to another host (see section 7). If you leave, we’ll help you take your content with you: your words, photos and the messages your visitors sent you.
Your staff dashboard (the pages where you update your site, see your inbox and messages, and get alerts) is part of hosting with Squareposh, so it isn’t included in any transfer. After a transfer, your website works the same for your visitors, and you or your new host make changes with their tools or by editing the files.
We’ll agree a cancellation date with you. Your site stays online with us until then, and you won’t be charged after it. Asking for your files before you cancel is the best way to make sure nothing is lost (see section 6).
14. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, including any promise that they’ll be uninterrupted or error-free, that they’ll meet your needs, or that your site will bring you business.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Squareposh isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
16. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Squareposh against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that come from your content, your site, your products or sales, or your breach of these Terms.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you by email or on this page at least 14 days before it takes effect. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version. If you keep using the Services after a change takes effect, you accept the new Terms.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If a disagreement comes up, please email us first so we can try to sort it out together. Any legal proceedings will take place in the state or federal courts located in Arizona, and you and Squareposh agree to their jurisdiction.
