Couples counseling
Every couple gets stuck sometimes. Couples counseling gives you a calm place to slow down the conflict, understand what each of you actually needs, and rebuild trust and closeness, whether you’ve been together two years or twenty.

What to expect
We start with a joint session, then meet with each of you once on your own so we understand both sides of the story. After that, most sessions are together.
We draw on Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method: research-based approaches that help partners understand the cycle they fall into and practice new ways of reaching for each other.
Couples counseling isn’t only for relationships in trouble. Many couples come before a big change, like moving in, marriage or a new baby.
Often helpful for
Communication, recurring conflict, rebuilding trust after an affair, intimacy, big life changes and premarital counseling
